This past weekend was pretty great. We saw a condo on Saturday and we loved it. Turns out the lady is wanting someone to move in around May 1st. YAY we have to be out of campus housing by May 3rd, so that will work out perfectly. Right now we are just waiting to hear back from her about filling out the lease and then it's pretty set in stone. It's so exciting. Katie, Kari and I made a pit stop at the local thrift store and picked up a little entertainment center/ coffee table thing, for our TV to sit on. It was only 5 bucks. SWEET. And we also picked up some Tiki sign things that were super cute. One to hang over the bar area that says TIKI Bar. Hehe and the other is a just a welcome sigh with a Tiki man on it. Haha. It's kind of funny but I think they represent us nicely....Funny and a little weird. yep!

.....ONE BIG SIGH....

Wow it's almost April. Seems like this semester is just flying by. Spring break went by so quickly. Of course, breaks always do, especially when you have things you should be doing over them. Like me, I had so much homework to do AND I got the majority of it finished. I'm so glad this past week is over. I had several tests and papers and a presentation. It feels nice to have nothing to do. Haha.
Last night us girls, minus Kari who was working on fishy research, went out to go dancing. It was a blast. It was so nice to relax after a stressful week. OH and Mizzou won this past week, while KU lost. I know the majority of my family is enjoying that, including myself! Haha I can't wait to see them play today. Hopefully I will be back home in time. Kari, Katie, and I are looking at an apt to rent this summer, today at noon. So I may only catch the end of the game since we are three hours behind everyone in MO.
Lets see, this next week I have a meeting with my adviser to figure out classes for the fall. And I think that's it. Not a whole lot of stressful events this coming week. Thats nice. Hmm, I think that's all I have for now. Have a great weekend!

Spring Break BABY!

This week is Spring break, which means, lots and lots of assignments that my teachers gave me to do before we return. Nice, right? The week s flying by fast, probably because I don't have any of those assignments finished yet. Most of them have been started, just not completed. Sigh.
Katie and Diane left to visit home for the break. That leaves me and Kari here. Yesterday Kari spent the entire day at Dipac doing research-y stuff. Yesterday I got super bored and went OCD cleaning the apt. lol. The website I needed for my main assignments wasn't working so I had to do something. After cleaning, I took a walk to the Waffle company for some lunch and spent some time working on homework there. I didn't get a whole lot done but I got started, and that's usually the hardest part. Last night I was on a sugar high or a chemical high (from all the cleaning supplies) and was in one of those giggly, can't stop rolling on the floor laughing kinda moods. Poor Kari. haha. She now knows I cannot be left alone for that amount of time. haha.
Today, I have no plans. I am just now getting up and it's almost 11am. What a bum, ay? Felt nice to sleep in though. Hopefully we will be hearing back from some apts. We are still hunting for a summer home. So far, we have a few options. We are also still hunting for summer jobs. AND I have a job interview tomorrow at 9:30am. It is with a Helicopter sightseeing company. It might be fun. Luckily, I am "car-sitting" for my roommate while she is in California, so I have a vehicle to get to the job interview. It is over on Douglas Island and takes a bit to get too. I'm excited.
Well, I think that is all that's going on for now. Hope your week is going by as fast as mine.

Happy Hump day!

(Frozen, snow covered Mendenhall Lake: Thats right, we crossed this!)

Wednesday is here and that means the week is almost over! Two more days until spring break! Hurray!
This week has been fairly crazy. I have two tests, one Thursday and one Friday. I have homework from both Math and Communications due tomorrow as well as a meeting for a group project. Tonight, Kari and I are going to look at an apartment on Douglas Island. We are excited but don't really have high hopes, as it is only 600 square feet. haha. Should be interesting. I got a call from a local hotel about rates for long term stays during the summer. (we thought staying in a hotel might be easier and would have no lease etc.) The guy said it was 3500 a month. Shot down, ow.
This past week I put together my resume. I found it kind of fun and am looking forward to working again. I have too much free time right now. Katie, Diane and I also took a hike to the Mendenhall Glacier. That was quite the experience. And I received several letters in the mail. THANKS! It's so nice to hear from everyone, even if I don't always have the time to write back.
This weekend, One Isle Over is playing at the Island Pub. Kari, Diane and I are planning on going. The food there is pretty good but the music will be awesome! Then, unfortunately, I will be hitting the books (ie computer, internet, library, whatever else will help) and preparing for two more tests after spring break, a 10 page paper due in History and a Lead reaction, class discussion thing-y that friday. Ugh. My spring break sounds like fun ay?
Well, I think I'm done griping about school for now. I'm sure it wont be That bad! haha. Have a great weekend! I know I'm looking forward to it!

Hello March!

So March is here. That means spring break is just around the corner and the end of the semester is sneaking up quickly. Tonight was supposed to be the best night to see the Northern Lights. It was clear all day and then when the sun began to set it clouded up. Can't see anything. I'm not so happy about that.
This week is pretty blah. I gave my presentation for speech class and now I don't really have much to do. I have a few tests next week I will probably start studying for soon. Right now, I'm putting in a good movie and lounging in my pj's until I feel sleepy enough to go to bed. Luckily, tomorrow my classes start at 12. So, I can sleep in. Yeah!
