Finals are OVER! YaY! I took my last final this morning in the testing center. AND I got a 100%!!! I am so excited as this was my hardest class this semester. Looks like I will be getting all As and Bs this grade period. The sun is out and it is 65 degrees outside! We even went sun tanning on the lawn this afternoon. It was Amazing!
Tonight we get the keys to our new condo! YAY and then we move in tonight and tomorrow. I can't tell you haw excited I am. Also, the three of us roomies start working this Saturday.
This day has been pretty perfect thus far (knock on wood). Hopefully the weekend only gets better!

Finals Week

The last few days of my life have been packed with nothing but studying. Ok, maybe a few late night walks, talks and whipped cream. haha. But other then that I have been working on these stupid finals. College life is great until testing comes along. Ruins everything hehe.
Nah, it isn't that bad. I have been working really hard on a History final I will be taking tomorrow or Thursday. I am so nervous about it. I'm not sure I'm ready yet. We also went and signed the lease for the summer condo we will be living in. That was exciting. We move in Friday. I got my car Monday morning at 3:30 am. It was a mix of panic and joy and exhaustion all in like 15 minutes time. I haven't had much time to drive it yet, but as soon as I can I am taking that trip to the "end of the road." Also, I start my first day of work, training, on Saturday. We also have to have everything out of our current apartment Sunday evening and have it cleaned. Wow So much to do! AND this week has been like 55-60 degrees! How is it even possible to stay inside on such nice days, and study. Grr. It is hard. We have had windows open all day today and it feels nice!
So, now that I have updated the blog and typed this up in like two seconds flat, I should get back to studying again.
Hope everyones week is much less stressful then mine!

Tomorrows Another Day, and I'm Thirsty Anyway..So Bring on the Rain.

(If you click on the picture above you can see the rocks covered in Sea Lions from the Whale watching tour Kari and I took.)

Wow. What a crazy month it has been. The semester is pretty much gone. Seems..unreal. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun.
Lately, it has been very stressful. Not only are final projects and "finals" kicking my butt, but we also have some conflict in the house. We "resolved" everything last night. However, I think it is only the beginning of long drawn out drama. It's so hard to see friends get hurt and not know how to handle it. I for one, am not the best at dealing with these situations. My biggest problem is that I would rather sit back and hope it all goes away. Unfortunately, this is not going away any time soon. Feels like war is on the edge of breaking out and I am totally not prepared for anything of the sort. I have been praying, but maybe this has to be this way. I don't know. Unfortunately, this conflict could ruin summer living plans, fall semester living plans, working plans....*SIGH*
Moving on, I have given several presentations lately that have gone pretty great. I seem to work better in stressful situations. This way I can't allow myself to procrastinate. I get things done and usually they turn out better. SO, with all the stress lately I have been putting together some great projects. haha. I have a final History test on Sunday, final for COMM starting today through next Thursday, a portfolio due in COMM on tuesday, and a math final Monday. Then I'm DONE! ...for the semester haha.
This next week I also have to go get drug tested and finger printed for my new job, which I am super excited about. YAY helicopters! haha. It is definitely going to be a learning
experience.
On a less stressful subject, the sun has been out lately. It has been in the 50s all week. The days have been wonderful. The nights get a bit chilly but not enough to keep us from start gazing. I guess we need to soak up as much of the clear skies as possible. Apparently, once it starts raining in the summer, it never stops. I just can't get enough of the beauty. When the sun is out, everything comes alive, even the people. It's nice to see students sitting outside or playing Frisbee in the courtyard. Some people are even beginning to wear shorts. It's kinda funny.
Well, I have class in 30 min, for which I am not completely ready. Hope everyone is ready for the weekend! I know I am!

Sorry it has been some time since I last updated. I have been so very busy lately and it's only going to get worse as finals get closer. They are the last week of April. AH! As of right now I am on top of everything but I feel like I am slowly falling behind.

This past weekend was Easter. YAY! And what I call my "rebirth" day. I was baptized on Easter Sunday. YAY! It was a pretty good day. I cooked enchiladas for the house. Diane made desert and Katie made a side dish. It was nice. The four of us actually sat around the dinner table and had a home meal. I felt...old. hahah. No, it was really fun:

Pretty aye? :)
So, this weekend Kari and I are going on a whale watching tour. I'm so excited about that! It's like four hours and of course we will see more then just whales. Just spending time out of the house will be nice.
Well, I have to go for now...Laundry is waiting for me!

April 1st...Gone....Sigh!

April first is finally over and I am no longer paranoid! YAY! I was just sure that one of my roommates would try to get me somehow. I woke up yesterday to a door with saran wrap stuck on it...but I had helped saran wrap someone else door so I guess I deserved it. I figure, if that's the worst that happened then thats great!

Yesterday I also had a meeting with my Elementary Education advisor. We have everything planned out until I graduate. It's awesome. For once I feel on top of things. I feel like I am actually making progress. I wont graduate until the 2010-2011 school year, so I am a year behind. BUT what do you expect? I changed my major, took off a semester, and transfered to a new school. Of course I'm behind... I'm enjoying school right now anyways.

Here in Alaska, the weather has been pretty good for the last few days. Juneau was going through this time of snow, rain, snow, rain, etc, for a few weeks. It was honestly annoying and cold and BLAH. However, lately the sun has been bright, the snow has been melting. I think it has been in the low 40s, and just gorgeous. It makes me so excited for the summer to get here. Once all the snow has melted and the green starts to show...I will be in heaven!

As far as that Condo us three roommates looked at, well we are still waiting to hear back from the lady with a lease for us to sign. Supposedly her husband is typing one up and it will emailed to us soon. I am crossing my fingers. I really hope this works out.

Thats all for now!
